Koeelberg Mountain Trail – Steenbrass Nature Reserve

Steenbrass Nature Reserve is a newly proclaimed conservation area declared by the City of Cape Town. It is part of the famous Kogelberg Biosphere. Situated directly behind the Kogel Bay Resort and on the slopes of the mountain along Clarence Drive lies a beautiful valley that's home to spectacular Fynbos and fabulous mountain and ocean views. Leading up the mountain to the top of Koeelberg a “forgotten” hiking trail was recently rediscovered. With the support of the City of Cape Town’s Conservation Management, Gantouw Tours provided the manpower and expertise to delineate and repair this trail by cutting open the trail.
